Registration
The cost to participate in the 10k/5k race is as follows:
May 8 - August 11: $30 for the 10k run and $25 for the 5k run/walk; participants will receive an official Lake Houston 10k/5k Race T-Shirt Runner's Bag
August 12 - August 21: $35 for the 10k run and $30 for the 5k run/walk; race t-shirt is based on availability and not guaranteed
Race Day Registration will be allowed ONLY IF THE CAP IS NOT MET, but will close no later than 7 am, so get there early! Race Day Registration Cost is $40 for the 10k and $35 for the 5k; race t-shirt is based on availability and not guaranteed.
Packet Pick Up
Your packet will include your bib, timing chip, information from sponsors and local businesses, and a race t-shirt (provided you registered by August 11). Early Packet Pick Up will be 11 am - 7 pm, Friday, August 23, at King's Harbor. If necessary, participants can arrive early on race day to pick up their packet (before 6:45 am). Please make an effort to pick up your packet before Race Day.
Awards
An award ceremony will follow the run with a prize of $500 awarded to the overall top male and female runners in the 10k race and $250 awarded to the overall top male and female in the 5k race. Non-cash awards will also be presented to first, second, and third place male & female finishers in the following categories: 18 & under, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60 and over.
Event Pictures
PR Photo is proud to be a part of the 2013 Lake Houston 10k/5k. Carl Bergman with Bergman Photography will be taking professional pictures of all participants throughout the race and after party. The pictures will be organized on their website and participants will be able to review and purchase pictures. Be sure that your race bib is visible at all times on the course! This year's photos will be available within 3 days after the event sorted by BIB# at http://prphotoshots.com/CarlBergman
Timing Chips
All participants will be electronically timed using a ChronoTrack-D disposable chip placed on the back of your race bib. Participants finishing times will be available at the finish line area immediately after the race. Timing Chips will be included in your Race Packet. The Race Course will close at 9:15 am; all participants must be finished by this time.
Parking/Traffic
Event Parking is available in the parking garage at the Kings Harbor complex, on side streets next to Kings Harbor and the Humble ISD Instructional Support Center a quarter mile north of Kings Harbor on Magnolia Cove Drive. Please do not park at businesses along W. Lake Houston Parkway or in front of any residences and condos. Please plan to arrive early due to road closures beginning at 6:30 am.
Refreshments & Aid Stations
There will be Aid Stations with sports drinks and water located throughout the course and finish line food and drink will also be available.
