21st Annual Chamber Golf Classic Presented By Kingwood Medical Center Planned For April 19
Plans are underway for the 21st Annual Lake Houston Area Chamber Golf Classic.
The Annual Golf Classic, presented by Kingwood Medical Center, is the Lake Houston Area Chamber's largest and most popular fundraiser of the year. Golf Committee Chairman Robert Sitton of Edward Jones Investments has planned the tournament for Thursday, April 19 at the Kingwood Country Club.
The Annual Party on the Green will precede the tournament on Saturday, April 14. The event will be held in the evening under a big tent on the greens of the Kingwood Country Club. Designed to entertain golfers and non-golfers alike, the evening will feature dinner provided by Tony Raffa, music, and a live and silent auction.
Sponsors for the event include Title Sponsors: Kingwood Medical Center; Double Eagle Sponsor: Texas Emergency Care Center; Eagle Sponsors: Insperity and Texan Buick GMC; Birdie Sponsor: Raffa’s Waterfront Grill; and Par Sponsors: Berkeley Eye Center, CenterPoint Energy, Citizens Bank, Edward Jones – Robert Sitton, Lone Star College-Kingwood, Plains State Bank, Schuff Steel and The Clubs of Kingwood.
The tournament is a four-person scramble, with prizes awarded for low and net gross in each flight. The tournament will be played on two courses, The Island and The Forest, with a shotgun start at noon.
Entry fees range from $1,000 for a team to $250 for individual players. Each player will receive a $50 gift card to the Nike Pro Shop which will be set up on the course the day of the tournament, lunch, and two complimentary tickets to the Party on the Green.
